I'm weird
I wonder if I was the only person at the Worldcon who kept more normal hours than at home?

At the Worldcon, I spent much of the evening to night at parties and socializing. Being an introvert, I was thus wiped out by about 2 AM, which is about when I was going to bed. Since there was usually stuff starting at 10 AM that I wanted to attend, that meant I usually got up in the 9-9:30 range.

At home I'm on the computer till late, which is much less tiring, and I have a job that accepts me coming in at midday. (And no offense to my employers, but: seeing Teresa Nielsen Hayden interview Tom Whitmore is incentive to get out of bed; going to work...isn't.)

LOL Well, that's the idea of Worldcon -- great things happen and then we go back home and try not to drop. Anything other than the interview that really stood out?

Well, I participated in Jo's kaffeeklatsch; Jo is always fun and interesting. I also went to Lawrence Watt-Evans', figuring it might be a good chance to put a face and voice to his rasfw postings. The Making Light party was fun, if very crowded and hot, and it was nice to see Abi again, if only on a laptop screen. Xopher's chocolates were excellent.

But...the highlight was winning Tom Whitmore's books. I'm going to post about that separately.

Sounds like lots of fun!

Jo is going to be here on Thursday; I'm looking forward to seeing her again! I know LWE from local cons and parties. I can imagine the ML party was fun, and I've never seen Abi. Given Xopher's discussion of chocolate, I'm not surprised they were good.

And now I'm curious about Tom's books!
